Home Delivered Meals

Hot, nutritionally balanced meals are delivered Monday-Friday by our agency and dedicated volunteers to home-bound seniors age 60 and above in Bamberg, Denmark, Olar and Ehrhardt.  We also have a private pay program for those needing meals who do not qualify due to age requirements.  We are always looking for volunteers to help deliver meals.  If you are interested in receiving meals or volunteering your time, please call 803-245-3021 and ask for Kim Kinard or Tammy Redd.

Group Dining Site

Group dining is provided Monday-Friday at the Rhoads' Senior Center in a socially stimulating setting that includes a hot, nutritionally balanced meal, various craft classes, games, music and health education programs.  The Senior Center also provides social support and monthly health screenings.  We are always looking for volunteers to work in our congregate meal site and we also need people who would like to demonstrate craft classes or provide entertainment for the seniors at our meal site.  If your are interested in coming to the site for meals or to help in any way,  please call 803-245-3021 and ask for Kim Kinard or Tammy Redd.

Physical Fitness Programs

Six week exercise classes, Evidence Based Disease Prevention classes, and Matter of Balance classes are held at the center periodically.  If interested, please call 803-245-3021 and ask for Kim Kinard or Tammy Redd.

Home Care

Certified Home Care Aides provide assistance with various housekeeping tasks, shopping, and emotional support to frail elderly or disabled adults 60 years of age and above.  If interested, please call 803-245-3021 and ask for Kim Kinard or Tammy Redd.

Medicaid Transportation

Non-emergency medical transportation is provided to Medicaid eligible recipients.  We transport clients to doctors appointments in our county and surrounding counties and also Columbia, Charleston, Aiken, and Augusta, Ga.  Transportation must be authorized through Logisticare three days prior to appointment by calling 1-866-445-6860 or you may call our office (803-245-3021) for more information.

Handy Ride Transportation

Transportation is provided to medical appointments if not Medicaid eligible, for shopping, paying bills, work, and other activities as needed.  A fee of $2.00 is charged for every 10 miles ridden for this service.  Transportation must be authorized through our office two days prior to appointment by calling 803-245-3021.
